The wildflowers and sunshine were abundant this weekend in the hill country of Texas and that combination called for a hike in Enchanted Rock State Park. Enchanted Rock is a pink granite rock dome, rising 425 feet, and covering some 640 acres. The views from the top are simply spectacular and this weekend we could see for miles. I heard one little girl ask her father, "Is that all of Texas?" Well, as anyone who has ever driven across Texas knows, you can drive for the better part of a day and still not cross the state line.

As we began the descent down the granite dome, we discovered there was no clear trail and the direction we thought would take us down would have done just that - but rather quickly! We quickly adjusted course and made it safely back to ground level.

My husband said, "Hey, wouldn't this be a great story for your ezine? Keep your focus on the goal but don't be afraid to adjust your course along the way." Is he great or what?
